Privacy Policy

Your rounds. Your data.

Last updated: April 19, 2026

What we collect

When you sign in to SaveShot using Apple, Google, or email, we store your display name, your chosen @username, and your email address (or an Apple Private Relay address if you chose one). Your profile photo, if you upload one, is stored in our Supabase Storage bucket scoped to your user id.

While you're playing a round and have granted location permission, we record the GPS coordinates of each shot you mark — latitude, longitude, and timestamp. Shots you don't mark are never recorded.

We store the rounds you play: the course, tees, match type, scores, edits, shots, and which players were in the group. If the round has guest players without the app, only the guest's display name is stored — no contact info.

We store an anonymous device identifier per install to stamp the origin of each write during offline-sync reconciliation.

What we don't collect

Where your data lives

Rounds, scores, shots, profiles, and uploaded avatars are stored in our Supabase project in the United States. Authentication identity is handled by Supabase Auth with Apple, Google, and email providers. Transactional email is delivered through Resend (US). Hosting and CDN for this website is provided by Vercel (US).

Who can see your data

Your rounds and scores are visible to other players in the same round. Your public profile — display name, @username, and avatar — is visible to anyone who plays a round with you or follows you. Nothing else is public.

SaveShot staff (currently: the app's founder) can access the data stored on our servers for support and moderation. We don't browse rounds; we access records only when necessary — for example, to respond to a support request or to remove abusive content.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your rounds, your scores, your shots, and your uploaded photos from our database. Storage-level deletion of uploaded photos completes the cleanup. This action cannot be undone.

You can change your display name and avatar anytime in Settings. Your @username is permanent by design; email support@saveshot.app if you need a change.

You can export your data on request — email support@saveshot.app from the address tied to your account and we'll send a JSON export within 30 days.

Children

SaveShot is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we've done so, we'll delete the account and any associated data.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll email signed-in users and update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. The previous version will remain available on request.
